Midwives Directory

Mississippi does not regulate midwives who provide out-of-hospital care. As the consumer or client, it is your responsibility to verify experience and training. There is no way to compile a comprehensive directory of midwives practicing in our state.

Better Birth Mississippi is a consumer-run organization for the preservation and enhancement of midwifery care and better birth options in MS. All midwife grievances should be submitted to Mississippi Midwives Alliance directly. Please contact the alliance for recommendations for available midwives serving your area.
